Purpose
and history
After decades of advocacy and dedicated efforts by Greenlandic filmmakers, the Greenland Film Institute was finally established on 1 January 2025. The Institute's mission is to foster the development of Greenland's film industry by providing funding opportunities, supporting international distribution, and promoting Greenland as an attractive destination for film production.
